Cabinet franchises, moved onto screens

Of the studios covered here, Light & Wonder stands apart because its most famous games began as casino-floor cabinets. A good part of its online range exists to carry those franchises over to screens, and the Huff N’ Puff series is the clearest illustration. Expect large, theatrical bonus rounds with plenty going on, structured as a ladder of steps you climb rather than a single multiplier.

Fans of games with an obvious sense of progress should get to know this studio. Players who want rules they can absorb in a single spin may find it cluttered.

Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand spec sheet

Our Light & Wonder listing:

TitleRTPVolatilityMax win
Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand96%High10,000x

The studio’s official game page gives 3 September 2026 as the release date and confirms the 10,000x ceiling. It names four frame types, Straw, Stick, Brick and Diamond, and describes wheel features that climb through Super and Ultra tiers.

In the current Three Little Pigs sequence, this is the third online release, following Huff N’ More Puff and Huff N’ Even More Puff. During bonus rounds, Hard Hat symbols construct frames, those frames turn into houses, and the Big Bad Wolf blows the houses down to uncover prizes. The Grand version brings in a Diamond frame, a Palace tier sitting above brick, and an Ultra Wheel at the very top.

Where the variance is decided

Our review concluded that the bulk of the game’s variance is settled at the moment the bonus triggers. Whichever Buzz Saw symbol lands alongside the trigger selects the wheel that spins. That wheel then sets which features and fixed prizes are in play, ranging from a 20x Mini on the standard wheel up to a 10,000x prize that only the Ultra Wheel carries.

A nine-point RTP spread

Light & Wonder lists its RTP builds openly on the game page. For Huff N’ Even More Puff Grand there are five: 96%, 94%, 92%, 90% and 87%. Graphics and gameplay are identical in each; only the long-run return moves. Nine percentage points separate the highest build from the lowest, one of the widest ranges we have come across on an official page. Our spec table uses 96%, and the in-game information panel tells you which build you are playing.

One brand, many formats

The company’s strategy is to launch a single brand across several formats. At ICE 2025 it showed new Huff N’ Puff titles, Huff N’ Even More Puff among them, as part of rolling the franchise out worldwide across channels. As a result, the online editions need to preserve the look and structure that players already recognise from the cabinets.

That produces a distinctive design signature. Bonuses revolve around upgrades: tiers climb, frames improve, and wheels open up larger prize sets.

The Scientific Games name change

Before the rename, the business was Scientific Games Corporation. It revealed the Light & Wonder name in March 2022, made the legal switch on 28 April 2022 and started trading on Nasdaq under LNW the following day. iGaming Business tied the change to the sale of the lottery and sports betting divisions; the lottery business retained the Scientific Games name.

Headquarters are at 6601 Bermuda Road, Las Vegas. When it renamed, the company called itself a cross-platform games business employing upwards of 6,500 people across three units: Gaming, covering land-based machines; iGaming, covering online titles; and SciPlay, covering social and free-to-play games.

Online content is delivered over what Light & Wonder calls its OpenGaming network, linking in-house studios, partner studios and operators. The iGaming page features franchises such as Into the Storm, Rainbow Riches Rainbow Frenzy and Huff N’ Puff. Light & Wonder has 511 titles on the demo network SlotSpecs uses.

Who will get on with Light & Wonder?

Players who like seeing a bonus grow stage by stage, and who enjoy recognisable characters and themes, will feel at home. So will anyone who already knows these franchises from land-based machines. Those who find busy screens tiring, or who want one simple feature, are a weaker match.

Strong points and weak points

Strong points

  • Familiar franchises built on a readable, upgrade-led bonus structure.
  • Official game pages list every RTP build.
  • Tiers and wheels make it clear what a bonus is capable of paying.

Weak points

  • The bottom RTP builds sit far below the top one.
  • Crowded, multi-stage bonuses take a while to understand.
