The headline numbers first. Duck Hunters 2 raises the ceiling from 30,000x to 40,000x the base bet, and Nolimit City puts the chance of reaching it at 1 in 88 million, four times rarer than the 1 in 22 million it quotes for the original. The bonus frequency does not move. That combination says a lot about where the sequel’s extra potential comes from.
Nolimit City, owned by Evolution, opened early access on 3 September 2026 ahead of the general release on 10 September, and its “NOW LIVE” announcement confirms the game is out. It is the third entry in a series that started with Duck Hunters in February 2025. The sequel is not in our catalogue yet; the original is, and the new rules build straight on top of the old ones.

Happy Hour, the middle title, runs on reels arranged 4-5-6-6-5-4. The sequel’s page also confirms a feature buy and bonus modes. Its volatility field was empty when we looked, so we give no rating.
How the grid multipliers changed
The base rule carries over. Any eight or more matching symbols win, wherever they sit. A position cleared by a winning symbol picks up a x2 multiplier, and if it wins again on the next drop the value doubles. Where the original stopped each position at x8192, the sequel lets it reach x16,384.
Two changes affect how a grid gets going. At the start of every spin, random multipliers may now drop onto random positions. The Bomb has also been redesigned. Previously it cleared a 3×3 block and doubled the multipliers inside it. Now it triggers once no winning combinations remain, removes itself plus every symbol above it on that reel, and lifts multipliers in an escalating run: x2 where it sat, x4 one position up, x8 the next, and onwards.
A bigger upgrade pool for free spins
The bonus tiers are unchanged in name and length. Three bonus symbols give 7 Duck Hunt Spins, four give 8 Hawk Eye Spins and five give 10 Big Game Spins. What has grown is the pool of upgrades, from three options to six:
- Upgraded xWays: Infectious xWays replace standard xWays
- Upgraded Bomb: clears below its position as well as above
- Extra +2 Shots: two bonus spins rather than one
- +2 Upgrades: two further upgrades added to the round
- Extra Multipliers: five placed on random positions for the opening spin
- +1 Spin: one extra spin added before the round begins
The number of random upgrades follows the tier: one for Duck Hunt, two for Hawk Eye, three for Big Game. Two new buyable rounds, xWays Juicer and Bomb Juicer, give seven spins each with a guaranteed upgrade on every spin, costing 500x and 2,800x the base bet respectively.
Paid options around the spin
The Day boosters, which fix every position’s starting value, have been reworked. The first game had three (Day 2, Day 64, Day 1024). The sequel has four, Day 8, Day 64, Day 512 and Day 2048, priced between 10x and 4,000x the base bet. A Bonus Booster and a Bonus Hunt option sit alongside them.
Two more features are new. xTra sells one more spin with the position multipliers left as they are, or a lower-priced spin with those multipliers halved, and it only appears when the price is no higher than the last win. Side Hustle is a menu of optional bets on particular events: a named character being removed, a position hitting x16,384, or a base spin finishing without a win.
What the sequel says about the series
Our review of the first game argued that each feature serves a single visible meter, the multiplier on every position. Duck Hunters 2 keeps that focus and adds extra ways to move the meter before and during a spin, with much of the new depth sitting behind paid options. The bonus buy guide covers how those prices compare with the stake.
If the sequel joins the catalogue, its record will use Nolimit City’s published figures. In the meantime the original is free to play with virtual coins.
