Nolimit City released Gator Hunters 2 to all of its partners on 6 October 2026, a week after an exclusive early-access window that opened on 29 September. The sequel keeps the 6×5 scatter-pays board of the 2025 original, adds a randomly placed Fire Zone that upgrades special symbols, and lifts the ceiling from 25,000x to 30,000x the bet. The studio rates it “Extremely Volatile”, its top rating.

Nolimit City publishes more maths than most studios on its game pages, so this is one release where we can compare like with like rather than rely on marketing copy. The figures below are taken from the studio’s own maths panel for each game.

The RTP split is the most useful line here. Just under a third of the game’s long-run return sits in the bonus, so a session that never reaches Gatornado Spins is playing a 63% game in practice. That is normal for this kind of design, but it is worth seeing written down.

How the Fire Zone and Revolvers work

At the start of every spin a Fire Zone is placed somewhere on the grid. Release reporting lists its sizes as 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 or 5×6. Special symbols that land inside it are upgraded: Wilds pick up multipliers, Eaters become Super Eaters, Bonus symbols become Super Bonus symbols and Revolvers become stronger versions.

Eaters wait until the cascades stop, remove a random group of symbols and then turn into Wilds. After that, up to six Revolvers can appear. Each one spins a cylinder of multiplier bullets and empty chambers, and any bullet it hits is added to the total multiplier for that spin. A Super Revolver spins again after hitting a bullet, and a Super Fire Revolver forces every Revolver that still holds bullets to spin again. Bullets run from 2x to 3,000x, according to the launch coverage.

  • Gatornado Spins: three Bonus symbols award 7 spins, and the total multiplier is kept for the whole round.
  • Fire Gatornado Spins: four Bonus symbols award 9 spins, with the Fire Zone always 4×4 or 5×6 and every Revolver a Super Fire Revolver.
  • Bullet Juicer Spins: a bought round in which every Revolver arrives fully loaded, listed at 390x the bet.

The game also brings back Side Hustle, optional side stakes that pay a fixed amount if a named event happens, such as the total multiplier reaching 100x. Buy features and side stakes are offered only where a market allows them, so a UK build may not show the same menu.

How it compares with the Hunters series

Nolimit City’s own maths panels let us line the sequel up against the original and against the duck-themed pair. Duck Hunters is in the SlotSpecs database.

Duck Hunters 210 Sep 202696.00%17.68%1 in 20340,000x1 in 88m

Three things stand out. First, the sequel pays something more often than the original (18.28% against 17.23%) and reaches its bonus sooner (1 in 205 against 1 in 236). Second, the ceiling went up by 5,000x without the stated odds of reaching it moving much: 1 in 17 million against 1 in 16 million. Third, more of the return has moved into the bonus, from 29.78% in the original to 32.64% now.

Duck Hunters 2, released less than a month earlier, went the other way: a 40,000x cap with odds of 1 in 88 million. Gator Hunters 2 is the gentler of the two sequels on paper, although “gentler” is relative when both carry the studio’s highest volatility label.

What it means in free play

A 1 in 205 bonus rate means a 200-spin demo session will often end without a single Gatornado round. That is not a fault in the demo; it is the published average. If the aim is to see the Fire Zone and Revolvers at work, budget for several hundred spins, and read the RTP split as a reminder that the base game alone returns well under the headline 96%.

The 30,000x figure is a cap, not a target. At 1 in 17 million it is, for practical purposes, a number that describes the shape of the game rather than something a player should expect to see. Our guide to RTP and volatility explains why these two figures need to be read together.
